Where do we fit? The bigger picture
Sant Baba Bhag Singh Memorial Charitable Society (SBBS-MCS-UK) was setup in 2008 and is a small branch of the SBBSMCS India charitable trust (established in 2000). Our purpose is to collate as many members in the UK who are willing to help through donations, to fund a huge educational project for children who are currently deprived of quality education. We are also improving the infrastructure of villages within the area.
The same vision and goal
“Vand Ke Chakna” is one of main teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which means to share with others and help those in need. This vision and goal has been followed by Sant Baba Bhag Singh Ji and Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji. Their goal was to provide high quality education for underprivileged communities, by developing a modern educational complex. Despite little financial funding from the local government, they encourged the local community to donate towards this project.
The UK charity has been inspired by this project and shares the same vision and goal. It aims to create awareness and support, by raising funds for this on-going development, to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.
